Chapter 4 – pg 35 Tough Question – Gretel just admits that she’s wrong and that “Out-With” isn’t a farm and then she notices the people and she asks what all those people are doing there. This Tough Question gives info about character makes the reader think and is showing the naivety or misunderstandings and conclusion that children came to back then. It also shows that children thought highly of their parents and didn’t want to think lowly of them.
Chapter 6 – pg 61 Memory Moment – Maria is recalling her past and telling Bruno how great his father is and that Bruno should never call him stupid. This Memory moment is creating emotions/suspense, and background info about Maria’s past and how she thinks Father is amazing and kind.
