I love, love to teach. As a matter of fact, I retired from teaching in 2012 from a school district in Iowa. For four years I enjoyed retirement (not really retirement because I took two long-term sub positions) but after being a substitute special education teacher for the 2015-2016 school year, I realized how much I missed teaching.
Thankfully, I was able to land my second stint of teaching at Chadwick Jr. High. I love it here! Everyone made me feel very welcomed, and the students are great.
I love photography, and I love to travel. The above photo is from Door County in WI. I traveled there with some photography friends for four days. If you've never been, it's a beautiful place on Lake Michigan.
We also traveled to South Carolina and Puerto Rico this past summer. South Carolina is an annual trip with one of our daughters and her family. Another daughter and her family traveled with us to Puerto
Rico for nine days. We have four grandchildren: Mariana, 14, who will be a freshman at a private school in Milwaukee, WI., her sister Tierney, 7, who will be a second grader at a private school, Miranda, 7, who will attend Riverdale in IA, and Trevor, 5, who start kindergarten there. We keep busy attending their activities.
