whether the US should spend more money on space exploration or mental health;

Here are my thoughts on this discussion. I feel that space exploration is a very expensive and always feel like there is a debate about the pros and cons of space exploration and the reasons for investing in something like this seems like people are going in circles about this. Most people want to live healthy and this desire to lead them to do things such as exercise, eat healthy etc. Unfortunately, mental health does go unnoticed and is ignored, and people are dying. Spending more money on this is so very important to help those around us become educated on the subject. I think when people find out that someone is hurting mentally, they start to think poorly of that person, because they don’t understand. I feel that everyone deserves to feel their best mentally and physically. Spending more money on this subject I feel is way more beneficial than space at this point in time, especially after all of this COVID stuff!

I think that we should worry about more mental heath than space travel because I think that mental health is more important. Many people die because their emotions take them over and they
commit suicide. This is more important than knowing how space works. There are things that people still can’t figure out such as vaccines. I think it is more important to figure those things out first.

I think we should focus more on mental health than going to the moon because it is more worth our time. Only a few people can go to the moon at a time and so many people are affected by mental health. People need mental health training to even go in a rocket. You can’t go in a rocket for only 2 days, you have to stay for about 6 months. It takes a while to get up there and start studying everything that is on the moon, so you have to stay up their for a while.

Once quarantine is over, I will be doing everything I can. I told my parents that I will make it my number 1 duty to make sure I am not at home as much as possible. Skyler, Olivia, and I are making plans to go to the Davenport Mall and shop till we drop. I also want to stay at my friend Sydney’s house and then go to Route 40 in the morning for breakfast. I have been saving money for babysitting, so I hope to spend a lot of it at Rue21 and Walmart. I just want to get out as much as I can.

Bryce's Post

The first thing I would like to do when the stay-home order is lifted is go hangout with all my friends. I would maybe like to go see a movie with them and just spend time with people other than my family. When the stay-home order is lifted I would also like to go to the weight room and start working out. Another thing I would like to do is go to West Wood and play basketball with my friends. Last I would like to do is have a lot of sleep overs with a bunch of my friends.

What I would do?

The first thing I'm going to do when my state reopens is to go out to eat! I miss it so much. Because cooking isn't something that I enjoy doing, it's been quite painful not being able to "grab a bite to eat" whenever I want to. Ordering online and picking up the food is NOT the same thing. I miss the social aspect of being in a restaurant with friends and family because isn't that the real reason we go out to eat?

My husband and I eat at different times at home, so going to a restaurant is when we actually sit down and eat together. One of my favorite restaurants is a local bar and grill called Caddy's. They make the best boneless wings, and I miss them so much!! It's interesting to note that most of our social interaction revolves around food!
